Overview

A message can be powerful, moving and impactful—but only if the messaging is on point, wrapped in a tonality that engages people but does not put them off, and the delivery precise.

That concept is easier said than done, as seen in the many public relations (PR) crises that plague companies worldwide even though their intentions were pure.

The Strategic Communication specialisation track of the National University of Singapore (NUS) Master of Communication (MOC) programme will examine the concept of communication itself, and cutting-edge methods and concepts to manage crisis communications and improve relations and reputations through digital marketing channels.

This specialisation track is suitable for leaders and executives who are in corporate communications, public relations, and practitioners from all industries.

Admission to the NUS MOC programme is granted on a competitive basis as places in the programme are limited. Applicants should possess the following minimum requirements:

Academic

Bachelor's Degree (preferably with Honours: Merit/Second Class and above) in a related discipline, or equivalent (e.g. a four-year Bachelor’s degree with at least an average grade of B or equivalent)

Note: Candidates with academic qualifications other than the above may be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by the Board of Graduate Studies

Skill/Experience

For holders of undergraduate qualifications other than a Bachelor's Degree with Honours (see above), two years of relevant industry experience
